Lisa J.B. Peterson, CFPĂ is the Founder and President of Lantern Financial, LLC. Lisa is passionate about helping her clients to live more intentional and satisfying financial lives.
Lisa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Mathematics from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, she completed the Financial Planning Certificate Program at Boston University. Lisa is a Certified Financial Planner˘ practitioner.
Her work with young professionals and couples has been featured in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, NPR's Marketplace Money, DETAILS Magazine, Boston Magazine, and Breaking the Glass Slipper. She has written articles as an expert columnist for Hitched Magazine and regularly contributes to the Simmons College alumni blog, Reconnect with Simmons. Lisa maintains the Lantern Financial blog, Shine Brighter, which offers solutions to help readers live each day creatively in order to more easily and successfully reach their long-term goals.
She has been invited to speak at conferences, nationwide, and most recently was recognized for her work with the 2009 Simmons College Recent Alumna Achievement Award.
Lisa loves making finance fun, and has created such community events as "Pillow Talk: Make Talking about Money Sexy in Your Marriage!" "Love, Money & Baseball," and "Rock Your Financial Life!" designed to inspire attendees toward financial success.
Additionally, she takes pride in the charitable endeavors of Lantern Financial, as well as in the success and popularity of the company's exciting and competitive internship program.
